Let's do this!

After talking about it for a bit too long, ("it" being documenting what the heck we eat every night) I finally called for some iPhone action from Arthur. Here is the first meal in the Barafare history book, er, blog, along with a short commentary about how it all went down, no pun intended.

It was March 23rd, a Friday night. Arthur was home latish for a Friday, a warm early spring day...

“You got the kids?” Threw chicken breasts, cilantro, chopped garlic, salt, pepper and olive oil in a big baggie. Shook vigorously and let chill in fridge for about 30 minutes. Got the brown rice started in the thank-you-god-for-this rice cooker. Frozen corn micro’d. Canned green chili’s and drained black beans, chopped onion, garlic, cilantro and lots of fresh lime juice completed the corny salsa. Tangy yumness. Dinner on table by 6.
